Livingston Centre Historic Village holding window restoration workshop

The Livingston Centre Historic Village is offering an opportunity to learn about the restoration of older windows. A three-day, 20-hour workshop will be led by historic renovation expert/contractor Randy Klepinger and at no expense to those participating. All registration fees and necessary on-site materials will be provided by the Livingston Centre Historic Society.

This class will benefit anyone wanting to learn about renovating historic windows; those planning DIY projects on your own historic house, or contractors working with these structures. The project for the class is restoring the windows of the Coughran School at the Historic Village inside the Fowlerville Fairgrounds. There is no better way to learn about repairing/replacing your own windows than to have hands-on experience led by a knowledgeable expert.

The class is scheduled for August 5 - 7, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.; lunch is included. Registration is open to eight students, please send an email stating your interest to LCHV2023@gmail.com. Accepted students must have completed lead certification in advance, as the project includes working with lead paint and leaded glass.
