Deadline for applying for FEMA assistance extended to May 8th
The deadline to apply for FEMA assistance has been extended to May 8th for area residents affected by last year's severe weather that occurred in August.
The FEMA declaration includes Ingham and Livingston, and Oakland counties. Eligible participants can start the application process either by logging on to www.disasterassistance.gov, by downloading the FEMA app, or calling the FEMA Helpline at (800) 621-3362.
