Webberville Class of 1984 holding 40th Year Reunion on May 4th
The Webberville High School Class of 1984 is holding its 40th Year Reunion on Saturday, May 4, at the Williamston Roadhouse, located at 3700 E. Grand River, Williamston.
A cocktail hour will be held from 4 to 6pm, with dinner served from 6 to 7:30pm, followed by the band playing from 7:30pm to midnight. There’ll be a cash bar and it’s casual attire. Potts Road Band is the featured entertainment, a classic & contemporary country music group that includes classmate Jim Ackerman on bass guitar.
A tribute will be held during the event for classmates who have been lost along the way.
On Sunday, May 5, classmates and their guests are invited to play a 9-hole golf scramble at the Brookshire Golf Club, starting at 11:30am. To reserve a spot, contact David Hall at 517-775-8755 or Brookshire Inn Golf Club at 517-655-4694.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Best Western at the I-96/Okemos Road Exit under the Webberville Class Reunion for classmates needing lodging. The motel phone number is 517-349-8700.
A few highlights of 1984, the year the class graduated, include Prince releasing ‘Purple Rain’, Kevin Bacon dancing in ‘Footloose’, Apple airing its first commercial for the MacIntosh computer, and Ronald Reagan serving as the U.S. President.
