St. John's Lutheran offers Gospel Music, VBS & Community Study
The community is invited to save the dates and attend upcoming events at St. John's Lutheran Church.
On Sunday April 28, come and enjoy great gospel music as offered by The Thurston's, who have shared the stage with many Gospel Music icons, such as The Booth Bros., Signature Sound, Triumphant, The Perry’s and The Hoppers. They have had top 40 charting success with their songs, “I Am Blessed”, God’s Word Will Stand”, and “God’s Been Faithful”. The worship concert begins at 9:30 a.m. and a free-will offering will be received to support their ministry.
Families are invited to save the dates of July 15-17 for a three-day, evening VBS (Vacation Bible School!) This free event will offer dinner for the whole family at 6:00 p.m. each night and programming from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Kids ages 4 through teen are invited to share in faith, fun and friendship through crafts, Bible teaching and recreation activities. Adults are invited to join our Spring Community Bible study for five Thursdays during the month of May. We will study the book of James from the New Testament and enjoy video teaching by noted author Francis Chan. The study is free and also includes a workbook and group discussion. There are two options: Thursday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in person at St. John's Lutheran Church or Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. through an online platform or in person at Grace Lutheran Church in Howell (our partners.) St. John's Lutheran Church is located at 132 South Benjamin Street in Fowlerville, one block south of Grand River Avenue and at the corner of Church and Benjamin Streets.
