William Otis “Bill” Belanger
6/30/1941 - 12/24/2022
You might have known him as Bill, Dad or Grandpa. When he was out and about he always had a smile and something to say to most everyone he met. He loved his family and he was always a hard worker. He enjoyed hunting, a good cup of coffee and he loved golf. He made golf clubs, gave golf lessons and loved the years he was able to help coach the kids on the Columbia Central High School golf teams.
Bill Belanger of Brooklyn, MI, passed away at home on December 24, 2022 at the age of 81. Bill was born June 30, 1941 in Detroit, MI to William and Hazel Belanger. He grew up in Redford, MI. He married his wife, Dianne, and together they had four children who they raised in Fowlerville, MI. They moved to the Brooklyn area in 1987 where he lived the rest of his life.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Dianne, of 60 years; his sister, Gailann Goodhue of Palm Coast, FL; four children, Lisa (Fred) Pringle of Fowlerville, MI, Bill (Shawn) Belanger of Haslett, MI, Dawn (Jacob) Koebbe, Denise Oudekerk (Ron Dickerson) both of Brooklyn, MI; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family.
We look forward to the day when we see that smile and that twinkle in his eye once again. So we won't say goodbye -- just see you later. It’s a great day in Heaven! Love You Dad!
Per Bill's request, cremation has taken place and the family will be having a celebration of his life at a later date.
