John Massimo Silk
John "Johnny" M. Silk, age 71 of Gregory, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, in Ann Arbor, MI, with his family by his side. He was born November 20, 1950, in Detroit, the son of Herman E. and Viola (Perilli) Silk.
Beloved husband of Teresa (Lasch) Silk. Loving father of Krista (Chad) Kenworthy and Tricia (Charles, Jr.) Crider. Grandfather to Malissa (Kyle), Abeygail, Anna, Emma, and Charlie III. Also survived by his sisters Sandra (Jack) Adams, and Donna (Danny) Campbell, and many nieces and nephews.
Johnny was employed as an automobile mechanic. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving with the Army, and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 27, at 11:00am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, MacDonald's Chapel, 315 N. Michigan Ave., Howell, followed by a graveside service with military honors at 1:00pm at the Munsell Cemetery in Fowlerville. Visitation took place Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
