 Ralph Edward McChristy

Ralph Edward McChristy, 85, of Fowlerville went to be with the Lord on October 18, 2022 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born on June 23, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Curtis E. and Ruth R. (Kobisch) McChristy.

Ralph grew up in Fowlerville and graduated in the class of 1955. He worked at the Howell Livestock Auction where he met the love of his life Irene Spicer. They were married on July 12, 1958 in Howell, Michigan. In April 1959 they welcomed the first of their four children. He was a journeyman tool and die maker by trade getting his start at A.E. Parker & Son Tool & Die Shop in Howell. Ralph then worked at Fenton Machine Tool. He retired from Michigan Machine & Engineering in January of 2000.

Ralph was a member of Masonic Lodge #38, Livingston Lodge #76 in Pinckney, Byron #80, and Williamston #153. He was also a member of Eastern Stars Huldah Chapter #212 of Byron, and Pinckney Chapter #145. Ralph was a sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and being in nature.

Ralph is survived by his children: Charles, Suzanne, and Gerald McChristy; and his grandson: Isaac McChristy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene McChristy; daughter, Janet Ray; parents, sister and brother-in-law Geraldine and Tom Mrazik; son-in-law, Brian Pomeroy; best friend, Charles Coon; hunting buddy Wayne “Skeet” Howard and his wife, Betty.

Ralph’s family and friends will gather Friday, November 4, 2022 from 2-8 PM, and Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 11AM to 12PM at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel, in Howell Michigan. He will have two Community Farewell services both at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Howell Memorial Chapel. The first will be held on Friday, November 4 at 6PM led by the Masons and Eastern Star. The second will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at noon with Pastor Bill Donahue serving as Celebrant.
