VETLIFE to present a free football clinic to children of veterans on May 15
VETLIFE is bringing the veteran community a new program that gives children of veterans a chance to participate in a free two-hour football clinic. Organizers are looking for sons or daughters of veterans between the ages of 8 and 12 years old who enjoy the game of football.
Join VETLIFE and Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group for ‘Little Troops on the Field’ football clinic on Sunday, May 15th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Howell High School John Dukes Football Stadium located at 1200 W. Grand River.
Experienced Howell High School football coaches and former Detroit Lions quarterback, Eric Hipple and NFL Super Bowl Champion, Eddie Murray will be taking children through a training with emphasis on teaching the game and improving techniques for all skill levels and positions. There will also be a special appearance by Roary the Lion, the Detroit Lions’ official mascot, and a Navy Seal will be parachuting onto the football field.
All registered children in attendance will receive a complementary event t-shirt, football, and autographs by Detroit Lions players. Parents and family members are welcome to attend but are asked to remain seated in the bleachers during the clinic. There will be an event photographer on site taking photos available to download for free following the event.
