Richard J. ‘Rick’ Hanba
Richard J. ‘Rick’ Hanba, age 74 of Fowlerville, MI passed away peacefully Wednesday February 9, 2022. He was born November 1, 1946 in Detroit to the late Walter and Dorothy (Salley ) Hanba. He was a 1965 graduate of Benedictine High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Rick was a member of Operating Engineers Local 324 Union, American Legion, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, working in his pole barn, yard work, entertaining family and friends with his many jokes and stories, going "Up North", Red Wings hockey, and most of all spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Rick is survived by Linda, his loving wife of 49 years; two sons, Rick Hanba of Chicago, IL and Jason Hanba of Raleigh, NC; sister, Carol Hahn of Plymouth, MI; brothers, Gary (Betty) Hanba of Hartland, MI and Tom Hanba of Howell, MI, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Rick to Dementia Society of America or National Kidney Foundation.
Friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Rick's Life on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 141 Schroeder Park, Howell at 2:00PM.
