 Livingston County United Way holding

‘Spirit of the Community’ on March 2

The Livingston County United Way will be celebrating the ‘Spirit of the Community’ Annual Meeting in person on Wednesday, March 2, at Crystal Gardens in Howell. The event was held virtually last year, and even though it had some creative and fun parts, it was nothing like getting to celebrate with our community over breakfast. If you have attended this event in the past, you know it will be fun!

Jeff Blagg, the Pastor at SonRise Church and current United Way Board President, will host this year’s event. Each year we take the time to celebrate Livingston County and how collaboration and partnership strengthens our community. The program will remind us all that the last couple of years have felt like climbing a mountain, and that thankfully there are community supports available to help each of us on our journey up that mountain.

The 2021 Volunteer of the Year Awards will be presented to local individuals, businesses and youth organizations for their outstanding service to the community in leadership, compassion, and volunteerism. It is inspiring to see the number of people who went above and beyond during this uncertain year.

This year’s Spirit of the Community Annual Meeting will take place from 7:30–9 am. Breakfast will be served. Tickets are $25 and the deadline to register is February 23rd. Please reserve you spot by registering at, by calling 810-494-3000 or emailing
