Elbert ‘Sonny’ N. Carlton III
Born 07 August 1954 – Died 14 November 2020.
Sonny was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Elbert “Nick” Carlton II and Dorothy Carlton (nee Lewis) on 07 August 1954. Sonny lived in Howell, Michigan for most of his life except for a brief tour in the U.S. Army from November 1976 to November 1980 when Sonny was stationed at Ft Sam Houston, TX.
Sonny married Sue Carlton (nee Kowalak) in 1976 and settled in Fowlerville, Michigan after his time in the service.
Sonny is survived by his wife, daughter, and four sons: Cherie Carlton, Scott and Beth Carlton of Perryville MO, Nicholas & Mariya Carlton of Bristow VA, Jason & Jackie Carlton of Grand Ledge MI, and Daniel & Candace Carlton of Fowlerville MI and 8 grandchildren
