 Craig Allan Geppert

    Craig Allan Geppert, age 65, of Van Buren Township, MI, formerly of Fowlerville, MI, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  

     He was born October 16, 1955, in Detroit, MI, son of Harold A. & Elizabeth Ann (Luttenberger) Geppert.  He graduated from Stevenson High School, Class of 1974. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Eastern Michigan University.  He later received his Master's in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.  He retired from Ford Motor Company, Rawsonville plant, after 24 years of loyal service as a quality control manager. 

    Craig was passionate about history and was an avid Civil War re-enactor. He was a member of the 116th PA. He spent every summer on Portage Lake and loved to spend hours fishing. He was a huge John Wayne and Turner Movie classics fan. He enjoyed NCIS and owned every series and episode. He was also a member of the Strat-o-Matic baseball club. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren; he will be dearly missed by all.

    Craig is survived by two children Ethan (Caitie) Geppert of Van Buren Township, MI and Emma (Tony) Frederick of Mason, MI, 3 grandchildren Ava Geppert, Brayden, and Kolton Frederick, his father Harold A. Geppert of Dexter, MI, four siblings: Tom (Debra) Geppert of Highland, MI, Steve Geppert of Dexter, MI, Janice (Rocky) Mazzaro of Ann Arbor, MI and Mike (Day) Geppert of Trenton; also many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Geppert, also a grandson Noah Frederick.

    Visitation was held 1-8pm on Tuesday, Nov. 17, and 11am-12noon Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, with a Noon Funeral Service at David C. Brown Funeral Home in Belleville, MI. Craig's funeral was live-streamed on the funeral home Facebook page due to pandemic restrictions. Interment was in Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, MI.
