Students at Smith Elementary have been "planting" a love of literacy! In an effort to prevent the 'summer slide' and build a love for reading, book bags are being placed throughout our community to be found and enjoyed. (This is similar to the painted rock craze.) In each bag is a children's book or chapter book. Read the book and then re-hide the book bag to be discovered by someone else. Be on the lookout for one of these special bags and please keep the good going!

Students at Smith Elementary have been "planting" a love of literacy!
