A variety of area musicians take center stage every Friday night throughout the summer on the lawn of the Historic Howell Courthouse as Concerts at the Courthouse enters its 21st season. This perennially popular program is a free series of concerts presented by the Livingston Arts Council, featuring rock, folk and blues entertainment at an outdoor family (and pet)-friendly venue. Pack a blanket or chair, and bring a snack or eat at one of Howell’s many downtown restaurants before enjoying the evening’s entertainment!
This year’s series begins on Friday, June 28, with ‘Magic Bus’, a psychedelic rock tribute to the Woodstock era. If you are too young to remember that magical time, you can now be transported back there by taking a ride with the “Magic Bus.” Their incredible musical abilities and authentic look will transcend the modern and jet you back to the Haight-Ashbury District of San Francisco in 1967 - a time of musical and creative energy that has never been equaled before or since.
The show will be performed from 7-9 p.m.
Concerts at the Courthouse runs every Friday night from June 28th – August 23rd. In the event of inclement weather, concerts may be cancelled – listen to WHMI 93.5 for updates or visit the Livingston Arts Council Facebook page. No alcoholic beverages are permitted.
