Mary Danaher Roscoe
Mary Danaher Roscoe, age 65 of Fowlerville, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Sparrow Health System in Lansing, Michigan. A Memorial Service celebrating Mary's life will be held at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at Family Life Wesleyan Church, 3720 Rowley Road, Williamston, Michigan 48895. The family will receive friends at the church from 5-6:00 PM with a time of fellowship immediately following the service.
Mary was born August 8, 1953 in Skulthorpe, England to the late William Francis and Jewel Love (Troutman) Danaher. She attended and graduated from the University of North Carolina obtaining her degree in Family Economics. She was a teacher at L.E.S.A. Head Start Programs. She was a former Michigan Head Start Teacher of the Year. She retired after 28 years but still enjoyed working with children and inspiring others to reach their potential. She loved to read, going to yard sales and the beach. Mary had many good friends, who she cherished.
Mary also attended Family Life Wesleyan Church where she worked with many ministries, including teaching Sunday School. Mary was a very social person and loved doing things and traveling with her friends and family. She loved animals, and they loved her. Mary was always willing to help others and was a wonderful friend.
Mary is survived by a sister, Janet Morrison, brother, Bill Danaher, and sister-in-law, Karen Hyde Weissman. She is also survived by two nieces, Nicole Gray and Donna McCullough (husband, Andre), and two nephews, Hank Chapman (wife, Shanika) and Anthony Morrison. She also had a great niece and nephew, and four great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, William Francis Danaher, her mother, Jewel Troutman Danaher, and her brother, Thomas Danaher.
