Laura ‘Evelyn’ Estes
Laura ‘Evelyn’ Estes, age 102 of Ionia, formerly of Fowlerville, passed away on August 10, 2020 at her home. She was born August 9, 1918 in Cohoctah Township to Fred and Beulah (Warden) Antcliff. On June 19, 1937 she married Myron P. Estes in Conway Township and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1998. She was also preceded in death by 4 children. Surviving is daughter Jeanette (Tom) Goerner of Perry, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Laura was a homemaker and enjoyed playing Uno and doing arts and crafts.
Services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Fowlerville Nazarene Church. Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed the service at 11:00am, with Pastor Craig Wyman officiating. Burial to follow at Sanford Cemetery in Cohoctah Township. Memorials in her name can be made to the charity of one’s choice. All people attending are reminded that masks and social distancing are required.
