Two Congressional candidates agree to a series of three debates in October
The two major-party candidates seeking the 8th Congressional District seat have agreed to a series of three debates in October, leading up to November’s General Election.    Republican incumbent Mike Bishop and his Democratic Party challenger Elissa Slotkin said that they will appear together at three different forums. Their first appearance will be a Oct. 5th taping of Flashpoint on WDIV. Next up will be a debate on the Dave Akerly WILS radio show scheduled for Oct. 16th and finally they will appear with other candidates at a forum in Hartland sponsored by Voter’s Voice and the League of Women Voters. That latter event will include the third candidate, Brian Ellison of the Libertarian Party.
Slotkin, in her announcement, said that she is seeking additional debates with Bishop.
