The public is invited to the First United Methodist Church, 1230 Bower Street, Howell, for an Open House to see the improvements to the church’s interior. It will be held Sunday, October 7 from 2 to 5:00 pm.
The project began in the fall of 2017 when the members of the First United Methodist Church of Howell, undertook a one and a half million dollar renovation. Working with the Lindhout Architectural Firm and John Stewart, General Contractor; upgrades have been completed.
The sanctuary received new carpeting, lighting, expanded chancel area with handicap accessibility and audio visual capabilities. The work included improvements to the interior and exterior lighting, heating, roofing and carpeting. Also as a part of the project, interior renovations to enhance a children’s area, nursery, the library/café/ gathering area, a family rest room, and the kitchen were included.
Please plan to visit our church during the Open House and bring a guest to see “The New.” Light refreshments will be available and visitors will be able to tour the facility at their pace.
