Elizabeth Hundley, Livingston County Clerk, announced important updates to the Clerk’s web site for the November 6th General Election. Sample ballots for the General Election are available for viewing along with a QR scan code that can be used to locate a voter’s precinct and polling location. Residents can go to www.livgov.com/clerk to preview their General Election ballot.
In addition to viewing the ballots and their polling locations, the clerk has linked the Local City and Township Clerk’s contact information so residents can learn more about voting by absentee ballot.
There are several benefits to reviewing your ballot prior to election day. Voters should be aware the option to vote straight party will NOT appear on the November ballot. In addition, this provides an opportunity to review the ballot language for the three statewide ballot proposals.
If residents want to ensure they are registered to vote, there is a link on our site to the Michigan Voter Information Center for them to confirm they are registered.
Residents must be registered to vote by close of business on October 9, 2018 in order to vote in the November 6, 2018 General Election. Residents can register with their City or Township Clerk, their County Clerk, or at the Secretary of State Office.
