The 61st Annual Chicken BBQ will be hosted by the Webberville FFA Chapter and Webberville FFA Alumni and Boosters along with the support of the Leroy Township Fire Department next Sunday,Sept. 23 from 12 noon to 3p.m. at the Leroy Township Fire Hall on the corner of Elm and Walnut Street in the Village of Webberville. Each dinner costs only $8 and also on sale is FFA apparel. Everyone is welcome to come out and buy a dinner or volunteer to serve. Proceeds from the event will support chapter members in their leadership contests, attendance at the FFA National Convention, and career development events. To kick off the FFA Chicken BBQ, the FFA is hosting a Drive Your Tractor to School Day, Friday, Sept. 21st. Please watch out for students driving their tractors on their way to school.
“The Chicken BBQ is a time for community to come together, and create new memories while reminiscing about old ones. It’s a time to spend with your family and friends laughing and eating chicken. There’s really no better way to spend a Sunday then like this,” said Skylar Byrne, Webberville FFA Chapter President.
