Livingston Centre Historic Village open to guests during this week’s fair
Among the many attractions at the Fowlerville Fair this week is the Livingston Centre Historic Village. Located to the north of the midway and west of the animal barns, the Historic Village consists of eight structures original to Livingston County. They were moved to the fairgrounds between 1986 and 1997.
Members of the Historic Village committee, and additional volunteers, will be offering tours inside most buildings on Wednesday, July 27 and Friday, July 29 between 1:00 and 7:00 pm. The Pere Marquette Depot will be open daily, with model trains showing post-WWII era rail lines.
There is no cost for any of these tours. Fairgoers can see these examples of early Livingston County life, and learn more of the way of local life between 1859 and 1910. It's a great way to take a short break from all the excitement of the Fowlerville Family Fair.
