A pet loss support group, “Lost Paws,” is meeting at the Plainfield United Methodist Church. The group is designed for animal lovers:
Who’s pet has passed away (recently or years ago).
Who’s pet is missing.
Who has a pet that is having health issues or is getting on in years.
Who wants to connect with other animal lovers in the community.
Who thinks of their pets as family which includes any and all pets, whether they have hooves, talons, paws, fins, fur, or feathers, and may range from a mouse to an elephant.
The purpose of this support group is to reach out into the community and offer comfort and companionship to those who are grieving or suffering, or anticipate that they will be due to the loss of a pet.
There will be a special Holiday Pet Loss Session of the “LOST PAWS” Pet Loss Support Group that will be offered at Plainfield United Methodist Church on Sunday December 23rd at 12:30pm. Names of lost pets will be read in remembrance and tribute.
The church is located at 17845 M-36, west of Bradley road. Everyone is welcome. You may wish to bring a photo of or an item that belonged to your pet to the meeting. Questions: Contact Terry Melton at (517) 468-0113 (leave message) or visit us on Face Book (https://www.facebook.com/umcplainfield/).
