Ara Himelick
   Ara Schuchaskie Himelick, 79, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at Menno Haven. Born Dec. 4, 1938 in Webberville Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Bernice Workman Schuchaskie.
   Mrs. Himelick was a 1956 graduate of Fowlerville High School in Fowlerville, Michigan. A homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed volunteering for various organizations, especially those involving the U.S. Military. She loved her country and was very proud to be the wife of a U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the Military Wives club. Mrs. Himelick collected Hummel figurines. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and other crafts. She attended the Chambersburg Baptist Church for many years and especially enjoyed the adult Sunday School classes.
   Ara is survived by her three sons: Rob Himelick (wife Jan) of White City, KS, Tim Himelick (wife Tammy) of Milford, KS, and Matt Himelick (wife Julia) of Mechanicsburg, PA; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Michael Schuchaskie (wife Linda) and Russel Schuchaskie (wife Cheryll); sisters Billie VanAmberg (husband Dale), Jackie Alling (husband Daniel), and Patricia Smith (husband Sid). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Command Sergeant Major Joseph M. Himelick on Feb. 24, 2003.
   A  memorial service will be held at a later date.
