Scrap Tire Drop Off being offered to county residents on Saturday, Aug. 18
A FREE scrap tire collection for LIVINGSTON COUNTY RESIDENTS to responsibly dispose of car and light truck tires will be held by registration only on Saturday, August 18, from 9 am to 1 pm. This event is sponsored by a grant from the MDEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) and is coordinated by the Solid Waste Program within the Livingston County Drain Commissioner’s office. Per State regulations, there is a limit of 10 tires per resident address. Details are on the website www.livgov.com/dpw.
The location of the collection in Howell will be given once a required registration is received. CALL 517-546-0040 OR SEND E-MAIL TO solidwaste@livgov.com. Registration information must include: name, resident’s township/city/village, phone number, address, the number of tires on rims, and the number of tires not on rims. The total number of tires cannot be more than 10 per resident address/registration. Space is limited, so please give 48-hour notice if you cannot use your registration.
Only tires from Livingston County residents with registrations will be accepted. If you have more than 10 passenger/light truck tires, or if you have larger tires (tractor, semi-tractor/trailer, etc.), contact the Drain Commissioner’s office for information at 517-546-0040.
