James A. Granet
James A. Granet, age 62 of Fowlerville, moved on Sunday morning, October 2, 2016. Born in Detroit on February 23, 1954, he was the son of Edmund and Marlene (Magnus) Granet. A Fowlerville area resident for the past 46 years, Jim was a 1972 graduate of Fowlerville High School and the owner of Granet Transmissions of Fowlerville. He had a “green thumb” and enjoyed gardening and playing his guitar. Beloved husband of 43 years to Cindy (Cavanaugh) Granet whom he married in Howell on May 19, 1973. Loving father of Jesse (Raquel) Granet of Kansas City, Missouri, Matthew Granet of Lenexa, Kansas and Stephen Granet of Okemos. Also survived by two grandchildren, Lois Granet and Alex Granet both of Kansas City, Missouri; two brothers, Ron (Judy Booker) Granet of Howell and Robert Granet of Fowlerville; sister, Kathy (Fred) Foltz of Howell; two nephews, Nick Granet and Andrew Foltz; and one niece, Maranda Foltz.
