Genesis House holding annual Celebrity Server Fundraiser on Oct. 29
Genesis House is holding its seventh annual Celebrity Server Fundraiser at the Olden Days Café in Fowlerville on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Local celebrities will be serving the delicious food, and Genesis receives a portion of the tips and proceeds.
Genesis House, located in Fowlerville, is a community center for men and women who are recovering from mental illness. Clubhouse members volunteer their time and talents to run the program along with staff. The Clubhouse also provides an array of opportunities for members to return to work or school.
We want to thank our many supporters as well as our talented Celebrity Servers: Fowlerville Schools Superintendent Wayne Roedel, State Representative Lana Theis, State Representative Hank Vaupel, Fowlerville Police Chief John Tyler, Undersheriff Mike Murphy, Executive Director of Community of Mental Health Connie Conklin, Drain Commissioner Brian Jonckheere, Prosecutor Bill Vailliencourt, Sheriff Bob Bezotte, State Senator Joe Hune, WHMI News Director Jon King, Howell City Council member Bob Ellis, Candidate for 8th District U.S. Congress Suzanna Shkreli, and “The Great Foodini” Renee Chodkowski.
