Bruce “Jerry” Bell, Jr.
Bruce “Jerry” Bell, Jr. was a fighter. He fought passionately about many things in his life, including the things he believed in, the things he didn’t, and in the end, his cancer.
Jerry spent most of his days doing one of his four favorite things: selling cars, golfing, watching sports or reading. He was passionate about all he did, always giving 110%. This never once wavered in all of his 70 years. His passion was evident in his dedication to his community of Fowlerville. Jerry worked hard to better his community through many years of public service, as he served on village council, founded Fowlerville’s Mission House (AA), and assisted in the planning of the new Fire Department as a commissioner on the project.
As a young boy, Jerry loved basketball and played for Waterford Kettering’s team, setting a record of 42 points during one game. His high achievement and goal setting carried with him through his whole life. Everything he did, he did with commitment and integrity. He will be missed dearly.
Jerry was born in Flint, Michigan on January 16, 1953, to Bruce “Jerry” Bell and Patricia Bell, and passed on March 15, 2023. He was the first of 5 children. He leaves behind his mother, Patricia; his siblings: Patrick Bell, Robert (Becky) Bell, Sherry (Jen) Bell, and Timothy (Angie) Bell, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his three children: Eric (Stacey) Bell, Sarah (Scott) Avendt, and Blaney Bell, and grandkids: Jacob, Anna, Jada, Drew, Jett, and Stryker.
