Marie Curtis
Marie Alice Curtis, 96, of Tampa Florida died May 10, 2022 at Northdale Rehabilitation Center in Tampa, Florida.
She was born October 21, 1925 in Farmington Michigan. At an early age she moved to Fowlerville. At the beginning of WW2 she worked on the line of Howell Electric Motors assembling electric motors for the use in war planes. Later she moved to Chicago and worked as a train conductor for the Chicago Railroads for the duration of the war. After moving back to Fowlerville and marrying Louis Freeman Curtis in September of 1946 and having 7 children, she became a licensed real estate agent and eventually earned a degree as a licensed dietitian. In 1986 Marie and Louis became permanent residents of Zephyrhills Florida.
Survivors include one son, Steven Curtis of Fowlerville; five daughters, Louise Silver of Oscoda, Ruth Biegert of Brighton, Jennifer Curtis of Tampa, Evelyn Curtis of Zephyrhills and Cynthia Robinson of Stephenson, 11 grandchildren and 25 plus great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Curtis and husband Louis Curtis.
A memorial service will be held in Fowlerville at a later date.
