Williamston Farmers Market holding Opening Day this Sunday, May 15

The Eastern Ingham Farmers Market in Williamston is rested, renewed and ready to Welcome Home new and returning visitors, vendors and volunteers from 10am to 2pm this Sunday, May 15, for Opening Day, in McCormick Park's large parking lot.

During the past two years, much of the Market's optional activities such as live music and the children's booths were suspended due to Covid-19 concerns. While always keeping the safety of participants in mind, this season Market Manager Tom Cary and the Board of Directors of Sowing Growth, the nonprofit that operates the Market, have planned for the return of these every Sunday, and other special events like Nature Discovery exhibits on several Sundays during the season.

The 2022 Market will be open every Sunday, rain or shine, through October 16, and has scheduled a special Thanksgiving Market on November 20 and Holiday Market on December 18th.

Michigan-returnable Bottles and Cans Collection occurs at every Market this season, continuing for the third year, the Market's most successful fundraiser that benefits everyone. Load up your car and drop off at the "Bottleground" on any Sunday between 10am and 2pm.

If your business collects bottles and cans to donate, special collections can be made during the week by calling any member of the Board of Directors (listed on the website: www.EasternInghamFarmersMarket.org) or the Market Manager to make arrangements for special pick ups.
