St. John's Lutheran Church offers family activities in July

Summer is in full swing and St. John's Lutheran Church has July activities for youth and families in our communities.

On Wednesday, July 7 at 6:30 p.m. children through grade three will enjoy meeting "Cowgirl Cathy" in person. She will share a book about armadillos and children will take a copy of the book home with them (while supplies last). This program is sponsored by the R.E.A.D. Team at St. John's. The team's mission is to encourage strong reading skills by third grade and is in line with the LESA "Talking is Teaching" program.

Later in July, get ready for Vacation Bible School and the Knights of North Castle! St. John's will host a three-night event for kids age 4 through teen on July 13, 14, 15, beginning at 6:30 p.m. This will include faith, fun and friendship through Bible study, games, crafts and song. Weather permitting, the event will be held mostly outdoors, with an indoor craft station. Pre-registration is encouraged for this FREE event.

See our advertisements in this newspaper for more information about both events. Contact the church at 517-223-9108 or by email at stjohnsfowlerville@yahoo.com. You may also register through our website at www.stjohnsfowlerville.org.
