Shirley Gancitano
Shirley Gancitano, age 82 of Howell MI, passed away on May 31, 2021 at Medilodge in Howell.
Shirley was born Oct. 16, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Milt and Roberta Hartness. She is survived by her children: Kenneth Gancitano, Kimberly (Ken) Trevas, Karen (Arthur) Hughes, Michael (Lori) Gancitano, Susan (Jeffrey) FitzHugh; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and her brother, Robert Hartness.
She was preceded in death by her son James Gancitano, granddaughter Sarah Gancitano, sister Patsy Hartness, and brother Jerry (Maryanne) Hartness.
Shirley was the quintessential mother and grandmother, always thinking of others before herself. Being a stay-at-home mom, she segued into home health care and was beloved by all of her patients. She is missed dearly.
