Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program Kick-off

Free Fishing Sunday—Sunday June 13, 2021 8 AM – 2 PM

All ages - Splash into summer reading by attending Free Fishing Day at Brighton Recreational Area. The day includes access to fishing poles and bait. There will also be loads of fun, outdoor games, and activities for the whole family. Fishing permits and recreation passports are waived for the day, so come cast your fishing rod! Lunch and drinks will be provided. We will be in the Maple Shelter. Adults and kids, challenge yourself to a military-style inflatable obstacle course, courtesy of the Michigan Army National Guard. Summer Lunch Bunch – Wednesdays June 16th-August 25th 12PM - 12:30PM

The Salvation Army is handing out lunch boxes, pantry kits, and craft packs. Check our website for more of Salvation Army Lunch bunch locations.

Adults - Kits for making your own patriotic mason jar will be available to pick June 3rd and video tutorial will be post on Thursday June 10, 2021. Supplies and spaces limited. Come pick up your kit!

Tuesdays with Mrs. D –Tuesday, June 15, 2021 10:30 AM - Zoom

Preschool - For ages 2 1/2-5 years. Come and search for wild animals and the places that they call home. Through stories, fingerplays and songs join in the fun/adventure. All on Zoom.

Take and Make Craft Kits – June 14 – 19 - Paper Chain Snake

K-5th Graders Crafts change weekly and are available while supplies last. Each kit comes complete with all supplies need and instructions. This activity requires no sign–up. Please call or stop in to find out about this week’s craft.

Tweens - Read a book in the monthly theme and come ready to share what you think and learn about some new reads. June’s theme: Fairytale retellings, Fantasy, or animals.
