SPIRIT WEEK – Week of Caring challenge hosted by local United Way

This Monday, Oct. 12, Livingston County United Way will celebrate the kick-off of campaign season with a Spirit Week-Caring Challenge. For an entire week, October 12-October 16, LCUW will have activities planned to help spark joy throughout the community. The world is stressful and uncertain right now, and we could all benefit from a little laughter and the sense of fulfillment we feel when we show someone we care!

Monday, October 12th- Activities Drive: Drop-off NEW activity books, coloring books, puzzles and craft-kits to LCUW-2980 Dorr Rd, Brighton, MI between 12pm-6pm. Items will be distributed to local older adults and individuals struggling with isolation.

Tuesday, October 13th- Show off your school spirit by sporting your favorite schools' colors (local, college, university), and writing a note/email to a school administrator, teacher, or staff member to show your appreciation!

Wednesday, October 14th- Help spread kindness across Livingston County! Some ideas to get you started: Pay it Forward, recognize someone important to you on social media, write a friend a note, or leave a gift on someone's porch!

Thursday, October 15th- Have fun with it! Help spread laughter and smiles throughout the county! Silly pictures, funny costumes, the opportunities are endless!

Friday, October 16th- Make a sign or share a throwback picture/video of you participating in a LCUW event to show us how you LIVE UNITED!

Livingston County United Way challenges community members to spark a little joy in the lives of others by participating in fun daily activities, and challenging other organizations, friends and/or family members to participate.  Participants are encouraged to share daily posts of their activities on social media to help spread joy by tagging @lcunitedway, #lcunitedway or #weekofcaring.
