Fowlerville & Webberville establish Halloween hours, urge safety for those taking part in Trick or Treating

The Villages of Fowlerville and Webberville have established the normal Halloween trick-or-treat hours at 6 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. Other than that, the local municipalities don’t have any current authority on regulating the annual activity. Officials did urge those providing the treats, as well as those going door-to-door to adhere to the public safety guidelines that are in place. These include social distancing and wearing a face mask when in close proximity to others.

One major difference from past holidays is that neither the Fowlerville Fire Department nor NIESA’s Webberville fire station will be hosting an open-house party with treats and refreshements due to the COVID-19 pandemic and current public-health restrictions on crowd sizes for indoor gatherings.

The Fowlerville District Library has also hosted a Halloween event in the parking lot of their South Grand Avenue location the past two years, but this will not take place.
