Norman Robert Crofoot
On April 1st, 2019, “Bob” Crofoot passed on, to sleep, awaiting Our Lord’s Second Coming (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 NIV). Born on December 26, 1921, he was a lifetime resident of the Fowlerville community. Bob’s favorite hymns were “In the Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross”.
He was a very proud WWII Marine Corps veteran. He genuinely loved all animals and many fortunate rescued cats and dogs found safe haven, as pets, in his home.
Virginia (Lange), his wife, preceded him in death in 1976, as did his parents and six brothers. He is survived by one loving brother, George; sister, Edna; son Thomas; daughter Jane; granddaughter Lindsey; two great granddaughters, Amaya and Adaline; nieces and nephews; and his pal dog, Buddy.
Bob’s children extend their heartfelt appreciation to the dedicated staff members at WellBridge of Brighton for the exemplary care provided. Deepest gratitude goes to the St. Joseph Mercy Hospice team, and the support and camaraderie of the Livingston County Veterans’ Council has always been phenomenal. To all those friends and relatives who took time, from your busy lives, to stop in and visit him, your smiles and presence was a wonderful gift!
His children would appreciate and welcome your prayers. Consideration for memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to Antrim Baptist Church (4509 Lovejoy Road, Byron, MI 48418) or “Always Hope Animal Rescue” (alwayshopeanimalrescue.org) or your own house of worship.
May God bless us all and grant renewed strength and continued peace in our hearts (1 Corinthians 15:51-57 NIV).
