Francis George Bennett
    Francis George Bennett, 96 of Webberville passed away on March 29, 2019 at Vista Springs of East Lansing.  He was born in rural Ingham County on May 30, 1922 to Peter and Susan (Buck) Bennett.
    Francis was a farmer and worked for 30 years at Oldsmobile in Lansing, retiring in 1985.  He served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre.  In his younger days Francis rode motorcycles.  He loved music, dancing, swimming, camping, traveling and working outside even after he quit farming.  
    He married Glorian Chambers on January 7, 1949.  They raised  four children who all survive him: Connie (Alex) Paulsen of Wilmer, AL; Roy Bennett of Grand Rapids; Patti (Rick) Koester of St. Charles, MI and John (Theresa) Bennett of Fowlerville.  Seven grandchildren, five step-grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his siblings: Glenn (Jean) Bennett of Eagle; Effie Lambert of Perry; Carlton Bennett of Weidman; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife Glorian in 2018, his parents and brothers Earl, Dean and Ben.
    Visitation was held on Tuesday April 2, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home.  Funeral service took place on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home with burial following at Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to United Brethren Church of Fowlerville.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James LaBerge, his primary care doctor, and Fowlerville United Brethren Pastor Tom Tarpley.  Online condolences may be expressed at pjherrmannfuneralhome.
