The annual Gramma's Attic Sale benefiting the Livingston Centre Historic Village will take place Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 16-18, at the Fowlerville Fairgrounds in the commercial building near the front gate. There is no entrance fee and free parking is available on site. This is the committee’s largest fundraiser, with all profits benefiting the preservation and restoration of the historic buildings at the Village in the north section of the Fairgrounds.
Members are already accepting donations for the Gramma's Attic Sale. Donations can be brought to the fairgrounds beginning Monday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15. Or contact Marj at 517-223-3831 or Mike at 734-673-1034 to make other drop-off arrangements. If you need any help getting items to the sale, volunteers may be able to pick up your donations.
Many of your no-longer-wanted-but-useful and good-condition items are welcomed: clothing, shoes and accessories; glassware, kitchen and household items; furniture; floor and window treatments; games and toys; books, CD's, VHS tapes, vintage records and 8-track tapes; tools; sporting goods; craft items and holiday decor; jewelry; and other collectibles or vintage items. Unfortunately, large appliances and most electronics cannot be accepted at this time.
Please remember the Historic Village as you downsize, organize, minimize, streamline, and clean out your homes: closets, cupboards, basements, attics, garages, sheds, and storage units.
As always, new faces are always welcome--- fresh ideas are valuable in setting up for a most successful event. Continue to watch your Fowlerville News & Views for additional details.
