Clement ‘Clem’ S. Sillane, Jr.
    Clement “Clem” S. Spillane, Jr., 82, of Wareham, Massachusetts, died April 28, 2017 in the Kindred Transitional Care and Rehab at Forestview in Wareham. He was the husband of the late Ann Lucille (Finlan) Spillane who died last October.
    He was born in Brockton on Nov. 29, 1934 and lived in Fowlerville, MI and Rockland, MA before moving to Wareham in 1967.   He graduated from Western Michigan University. 
   Clem was the eldest son of late Clement & Evelyn (Sewall) Spillane Sr. Clem attended grade school in North Easton, MA prior to moving to Wareham in 1947, graduating from Wareham High 1952. He was a 12 letterman, (4 letters each in football, basketball, and baseball). Clem attended and graduated from Western Michigan University & completed his Army tour of duty 1958. 
    Then he started his teacher/coach career first for Fowlerville High School where he met Ann. They married August 1962. In 1964 they moved to Rockland, MA then to Wareham in 1967, where Clem taught & coached until retirement. Every year Ann and Clem would plan their summer vacation to coincide with the Fowlerville Fair. He enjoyed sports, fishing and boating, making chowder and skiing.
     Clem is survived by his brothers, Edward F. Spillane of Mount Laurel, NJ and Robert Spillane and his wife Barbara of Asheville, NC; nieces: Janice, Brenda, Linda, Karen, Patricia Ann, Patricia Marie, Carolyn, Diane, Tiffney; nephews; Edward, Kevin, Sean, Brian and grandnieces and grandnephews.   Clem was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years Ann Lucille (Finlan) Spillane, his brother-in-law, Jon Finlan, his brothers, John “Jay”, Cornelius, & Maurice and nephews, Steve & Michael. 
    Clem was very grateful for the special care provided to him and Ann during their long illness by his nieces Janice and Karen. Thank you to longtime friends Jim Brogioli and Cliff Silvia for the outings and continued support that they gave him.  
    His funeral was held at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home Wareham, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church, Wareham. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s’ Cemetery.
