Livingston Centre Historic Village getting ready for upcoming activities
Easter Egg Hunt on April 8 at Community Park
The Livingston Centre Historic Village is beginning spring activities as members plan events for the coming months. Its mission continues to be dedicated to the restoration and renovation of the buildings in the Historic Village that represent life in a young and developing Livingston County.
An Easter Egg Hunt will be held April 8 at the large Community Park on N. Grand Ave in Fowlerville at 11:00 a.m. Baskets will be provided and there is no charge for this traditional spring activity. Children will be separated into three age groups: 2 - 4 year olds, 5 - 7 year olds, and 8 - 10 year olds. The Easter Bunny will be there, and the barrel train will be offering rides.
The annual Spring Gramma's Attic Sale is being planned for June 15 - 17 at the Fairgrounds. Please keep the Historic Village in mind during your spring cleaning. This is a major fundraiser for the Historic Village. The only items NOT accepted are electronics such as old TVs, computer monitors and items like this. Please call Marj Carlon at 517-223-3831 for further information. Watch this space for drop-off dates. Pick-up is available when necessary.
The third annual Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional information will follow; vendors and entertainers can contact Ms. Carlon.
It is the hope that the historic buildings will be open during the spring and summer, in addition to Fair Week. Dates and times will be published beginning in May.
As always, the beautiful, historic Green Church is available for smaller weddings at a reasonable price. Please contact Ms. Carlon or the Fair Office at 517-223-8186.
Historic Village meetings continue to be held the first Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. inside the Fowlerville Fair Office. NEW MEMBERS are always WELCOME!
