4th of July Chili Cook-off taking place this Saturday, March 11, at VFW Hall
     The Livingston County/Fowlerville Fireworks Committee will be holding the 13th Annual 4th of July Chili Cook-Off this Saturday, March 11, at VFW Post 6464, located at 215 Veterans Drive in Fowlerville from 4 to 7pm. 
    There will be 50/50 drawings, vendors, a Silent Auction and some really great chili! Dinner includes one sample of each chili and one bowl of the chili of your choice, salad, beverage and dessert. Prices are $8.00 for Adults, $5.00 for Children 5 - 12 years old, and a children's dinner consisting of a hot dog, chips, beverage, and dessert is $4.00. 
    Please remember to vote for your favorite chili! 
    Chili will be judged for these six categories: 
    People's Choice: The attendees will vote for the chili entry that they think is the best tasting. 
    Judge's Choice: Three non-partial judges will determine the overall best tasting. 
    Spicy Hot: The hottest chili! 
     Best Presentation: The contestant with the best decorated display of their chili entry or table space, 
    Best Business/Organization Entry: This category is for all businesses and organizations who submit a chili for judging, 
    Most Unique Chili: This category is for chili entries that differ from the normal. 
    Rules for entering are on the entry form and pre-registration is required. 
    There are still a few openings for chili entries and we always welcome volunteers!

   In addition to the Cook-Off, a Silent Auction will be offered and50/50 Drawings will take place. Vendors will also be at the hall, including LESA selling handmade greeting cards and candles; the Livingston Centre Historical Society selling train-related items and other merchandise, and Boy Scout Troop 336 having fundraising items for sale.
    This is the major fundraiser for the 4th of July fireworks and all proceeds from this event go towards the Fourth of July Fireworks show.
