Kenneth J. Mleczewski
Kenneth J. Mleczewski, age 59 of Cheboygan passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at his home. He was born November 26, 1957 in Detroit, the son of Eugene and Rosemarie (Moses) Mleczewski. On July 31, 1993 in Cheboygan, Ken married Janet Elliott. After graduating from high school, Ken enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served with the Navy SEALS. He was honorably discharged in 1979.
Ken was a “Jack of all Trades” having worked for the U.S. Forest Service, including as a paramedic, at Glens Market in the maintenance department, as well as for several apartment complexes. He was very family oriented and enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include his wife, Janet of Cheboygan, two brothers, Eugene (Diana) Mleczewski of Las Vegas and Mark (Lisa) Mleczewski of Petoskey, three nephews, Robert Mleczewski of Las Vegas, Marcus Mleczewski of Petoskey and Benjamin (Brittany) Scott of Kansa City, MO and one niece, Heather Scott of Longlac, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Those wishing to sign an online register book are invited to do so at www.stonefuneralhomeinc.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
