Robert "Bob" Dale Finch
Robert Dale Finch went to his eternal home, surrounded by his loved ones on January 15, 2017. He was born April 26, 1952 in Pontiac, MI to William Frederick Finch and Alice (Daniels) Harrison.
Robert was a custodian at H.T. Smith Elementary School for 40 years. He also spent many years umpiring baseball and softball games for the community of Fowlerville.
Although he had many passions in life, there is nothing he loved more than spending time with his daughters and grandchildren. Well that is unless there was a sporting event to watch or attend, as he was as big of a fan as anyone could be. Whether it was a community sporting event, a game on national TV, or sitting in the stands at "The Big House" you could bet he'd be there.
Robert is survived by his ex-wife and friend Cathy Finch. His daughters: Melissa (Adam) Roberts and Jessica (Cody) Newman. Proud Papa of three A"Maize"ing grandchildren: Abigail, Aiden and Collin, brothers: William (Kathy) Finch, James Finch, David (Cindy) Harrison, sister: Janice Harrison, and many nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by everyone blessed to have known him, including his fellow U of M fans Bill and Sharon Lloyd.
He was preceded in death by his son: Steven Dale Finch, his parents and brothers: Joseph Finch and Elmer Harrison.
Visitation services were held at the Fowlerville Church of the Nazarene from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, Jan 20. The funeral was held on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 11 am at the same location.
