Community Bible Study at St. John’s seeks answers about "Vanishing Grace"
Is there grace out there? One wonders based on news broadcasts and the general state of affairs. Yet this is a primary gift from God and a key theme of Christian faith, not to be given up on.
St. John's Lutheran Church will host their annual Community Winter Bible Study entitled, "Vanishing Grace." It is based on the work of Philip Yancey who has continued writing on this theme beyond his classic work, "What's So Amazing About Grace?" to find the state of grace today.
Christians of the Lutheran tradition---and, indeed, all Christians---have long trusted in the teaching of God's grace as a necessary and abundant gift for the world and St. John's is especially interested in exploring it during this year, the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.
The study will begin on Tuesday February 7 at 6:45 p.m. and run through March 7. A suggested fee for materials is $8 per person. St. John's Lutheran Church welcomes members of the greater Fowlerville community to this study. If interested, register at 517-223-9108 or www.stjohnsfowlerville.org.
