Reservations being taken for Scrap Tire Collection on August 27
    A FREE scrap tire collection for Livingston County residents will be held on Saturday, August 27, from 9am – 1 pm.  This event is sponsored by a grant from the MDEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) and coordinated by the Solid Waste Program within the Livingston County Drain Commissioner’s office.    Phone:  517-546-0040    Web:  www.livgov.com/dpw   Email: solidwaste@livgov.com
    This is a free event to get rid of unwanted car and light truck tires.  RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. This collection is only for residents of Livingston County and NO tires from businesses will be accepted.  You can register by phone or email. The information that is required for reservations are:  your name, your township/city/village, your phone number and address, the number of tires and how many of the tires are on rims.  Details are on the website. The location of the collection in Howell will be given once the registration is received.  
   ONLY TIRES FROM LIVINGSTON COUNTY RESIDENTS WITH RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS FREE EVENT.
   The collection is limited to 10 tires per vehicle per state regulations.  Space is limited. Please give 48-hour notice if you cannot honor your reservation for August 27th.
    If you have larger tires like farm tractor tires, commercial semi-tractor/trailer tires, please contact the Drain Commissioner’s office for further information at 517-546-0040.
