David Clarence Douglas
David Clarence Douglas, 71, of Alpena passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at his home. David was born on October 1, 1944 in Webberville, MI to the late Clarence and Francis (Crandall) Douglas. He attended school in Webberville, graduating in 1963. David was drafted in the United States Army in 1966, serving for two years. He was a DNR officer for the State of Michigan for 28 ½ years, retiring in 1998. David moved to Alpena in 1971 and married Linda Segorski on August 26, 1972. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his granddaughters.
Surviving are his wife, Linda; children, Jolie (Keith) Danielson of Alpena, David Douglas of Rochester Hills; 2 granddaughters, Phoebe & Rebecca Wojciechowski; sisters, Ruthann (Ken) Rice, Marian Allen; and brother, Walter (Sue) Douglas.
Mr. Douglas was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael.
Visitation and funeral services took place at the Bannan Funeral Home in Alpena on Saturday, August 20. Services were held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Nye officiating. Interment followed at Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials can be designated for Friends Together.
