 Lois Davenport

    Lois was born on November 13, 1932, in Grand Rapids Michigan to Nicholas and Cora Ringelberg. She graduated from Union High School in 1950. She received and nursing degree and worked in the polio unit. In 1956 she received a degree in sociology/psychology, finishing her nursing career in 1976.

    She married Lorry Davenport in 1960. Lois went on to become a computer programmer at Chrysler and retired in 1997. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 26 years. She loved travel and adventure, visiting 48 States and 3 continents. Jumped out of an airplane at 81 years old. She joined Cornerstone Church in Brighton in 2008 where she remained very active in Stephen Ministries, becoming a Deacon, Greeter, played the bells, and attended many weekly group activities.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lorry in 2011, and a brother. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her church family. Visitation and a funeral service were held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Cornerstone Evangelical Presbyterian Church with burial that followed in Greenwood Cemetery.
