Martha Marilyn Rambo
Martha Marilyn Rambo, age 88, passed away on August 22, 2022. Marilyn was born on February 13th, 1934, in Lansing, Michigan to Bessie and Robert Miller. In her early years, she worked at Stanley Tools, located in Fowlerville, Michigan. In her later years, she enjoyed working at Fowlerville Community Schools where she retired. During her years there, her most joyous moments were found when reading with the young children.
Marilyn's most prize possession has always been her family. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, crocheting, and baking. Marilyn never attended a family function without her classic recipes: 123s, Jello Roll-Ups and Monkey Bread.
Martha Marilyn Rambo was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Rambo; son, Michael Rambo; grandson, Michael Rambo; and most recently, her nephew, Gary Garner Jr.
She is survived by sister, Connie Garner Dunn; sons, William “Billy” Rambo and James “Jim” (Lisa) Rambo; grandchildren, Patrick (Stacie) Rambo Sr., Joshua Rambo, Taylor (Brett) Wiedemann, and Matt (Sophie) Rambo; great-grandchildren, Patrick (Kaylei) Rambo Jr., Sara (Cody) Black, Cole Rambo, Cody Rambo, Michael (Andrea) Rambo, Kristen (Tyler) Kirkman, Kyle (Cieara) Rambo, Kendra Rambo, Steven (Robin) Rambo, Brenna Rambo, Destinae Rambo, Tyler (Morgan) Rambo, Zachery Rambo, and Landry Wiedemann; as well as many beloved great-great grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and extended family.
A special thank you to Marilyn’s best friend and sister Connie Garner Dunn for her love and support and most of all for calling Marilyn every single day of her life. And to her nephew Gary for always being there to help whenever needed. Thank you to the wonderful nurses on the 5th Floor at Sparrow Hospital, the staff at Sparrow Hospice House and to her nurses and friend Beverly at A Family Affair for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8th from 4-7 p.m., Visitation, Friday, September 9th at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Herrmann Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Howard officiating.
