Fowlerville Fall Fest taking place on Saturday, Oct. 1, at fairgrounds
The annual Fowlerville Fall Fest will be taking place at the Livingston Centre Historic Village, inside the Fowlerville Family Fairgrounds on Saturday, Oct.1, from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Entrance fees: $5.00 per person, with $3.00 for children 10 and under; price includes parking.
There will be activities for the entire family: a Petting Zoo, a Bounce House, food vendors, arts and craft center, Barrel Train ride for children.
The Historic Village will be open all day, with committee members giving guided tours in some of Livingston County's oldest structures. The model train display inside the Pere Marquette Depot will delight people of all ages and a choir will be performing in the Green Church.
Also, there will be demonstrations of traditional arts around the Village including broom-making and blacksmithing. The open barn near the Village will hold many vendors and flea-marketers. Musicians, and Barbershop Quartets will be providing entertainment on the gazebo stage throughout the day.
This annual festival highlights the beginning of autumn in Livingston County while offering the opportunity to visit the Historic Village once again before winter. Its purpose is twofold: family fun for all ages and fund- and awareness- raising to continue restoration, preservation and maintenance of these enduring buildings, which date back to the earliest days of Livingston County.
