 Stanley Jacob “Jay” Flack

Stanley Jacob "Jay" Flack passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 at the age of 80. Jay lived life with gusto and had a big heart. He loved golfing, hunting, fishing, and working on his Farm, but most of all spending time with his friends and Family. He was great in the kitchen and made the best Polish dishes like stuffed cabbage, kapusta, pierogis, and sausage. He was also known as being the King of canning hot peppers using his Mom's famous recipe. He was bigger than life and made people feel electric when they were around him.

Formerly from South Lyon and Okemos, Jay last resided in Fowlerville, MI. He was born in McIntyre, PA on October 14, 1941 and was raised in a rural coal mining town with his three Brothers: Larry, Leonard, and Frank. Jay enlisted in the Navy and served at Vandenberg Air Force Base from 1959-1965 on his beloved ship, the Bonne Homme Richard (CVA-31) aircraft carrier. He was a proud veteran and loved to share his stories from his time in the military and on his ship.

In 1963 he met his first wife, Marie (Beth) McGahan, who was literally the girl next store. They fell in love and married in 1964 and had three children. Jay was later was married to Theresa Priebe with whom he raised their three children together in Okemos, MI. For the past 14 years, Jay has lived happily in Fowlerville, MI with his wife Crystal (Chris) Flack (Weitsz).

Jay was a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and worked as a Regional Sales Manager for Carnation and Nestle for over 30 years. He was well known for giving away free samples of carnation milk, fancy feast, and candy from the trunk of his car.

Jay is survived by his wife Crystal and his six children: Suzanne (Chris) Rosati, David (Laura) Flack, Thomas (Laina) Flack, Kristen (Kyle) Fuehne, Brittany (Liam) Daley, and Brendan (Angie) Flack; his eleven grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Jay showed us all how to live life with a gritty work ethic, love of nature, and enthusiasm. We'll see you down the road Jay.
