Eugene Colin Hayward
Eugene Colin Hayward, age 63, passed away on August 10, 2022 after his long battle with cancer. Gene was born September 10, 1958 to Eugene R. and Shirley Hayward. Gene was an avid outdoorsman, whether it was grilling or mowing grass on his new mower (whether the grass needed it or not). He loved hunting and fishing with his dad, brothers, and sons.
Gene is survived by his wife of 33 years Vicki; Children: Brian (Karen) Comer, Joseph Comer, Megan (Kaleb) Mussell and David Hayward. Grandchildren: Ricky, Greg, Johnny, Riley, Selana and Chelsea; Mother: Shirley (Smyth) Hayward; Brothers: Robert (Bev) Hayward and Bill Hayward; Sisters: Barbara Dillingham and Shirley (Scott) Hull; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his fur baby Bella. He is preceded in death by his Father: Eugene R Hayward and 2 Sisters: Linda and Donna.
Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to Hospice of Lansing (hospiceoflansing.org)
Graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Greenwood Cemetery Fowlerville at noon.
